Welcome!

April 2020

Dear RLS North Africa network, we are glad to launch this blog as a platform for young activists and old militants, artists and intellectuals, leftists from Europe, North Africa and worldwide. Through this initiative, we hope to create spaces for the debates on alternatives to unjust trade relations, growing social disparities, neocolonial disparities and the devastating effects of climate change. We also would like to open windows on the leftists debates in North Africa and the world, which became during the last decade an arena of dynamic transformations. Since the beginning of this year the Corona crisis exposes shortcomings of health systems due to the commodification of basic services as well as social disparities on a global scale. The impact of the crisis on social relationships, forms of government, daily lives and the mental state of people is certainly one of the topics that leftist debates should center on.

Dear future contributors, this blog is yours if you have opinions to share and put into perspective, if you believe in free speech, free thinking and mutual respect. The blog is open to contributions, mainly but not exclusively, about:
